Half Marathon - Catch the Shuttle from McPhelemy Park - Leaves @ 8:15 am SHARP!
Finish Line Cut Off Time - 2 pm
This race starts west of town at Cottonwood Lake Campground and winds its way into town through peaking aspen groves. Buses will shuttle runners from McPhelemy Park. Runners will be dropped off at the start line, one mile past Cottonwood Lake Campground on CR 344. After the start, runners will pass by a gorgeous view of Cottonwood Lake, following gravel roads. They will come to the first fuel station (mile 4). After mile 6, runners will take a right onto CR 306 (West Main Street). Crossing Guards will help you cross CR 306. Watch for vehicles and listen to their instructions to cross this section. Runners will take a left onto CR 340 at the next fuel station (mile 7.5), and they will be directed around more gravel roads before coming back out onto CR 306 (West Main Street). They will arrive at another fuel station (mile 10.5). Runners will run a slight and continuous descent to the finish line at McPhelemy Park.
Fuel Station Food & Drink
There are three fuel stations (mile 4, mile 7.5, & mile 10.5) along the course. Each fuel station will have a basic first aid kit available. Please bring your Hydrapak collapsible speed cup (part of your runner’s swag!) or bottles with you for this race. This is a cupless race to reduce waste along the course. Fuel stations will have water, GU Roctane Hydration, and sweet and salty snacks.

Fuel Station #1 - Mile 4 - 11:00 am
Fuel Station #2 - Mile 7.5 - 12:00 pm
Fuel Station #4 - Mile 10.5 - 1:00 pm
Finish Line - Mile 13.1 - 2:00 pm
Drop Bags
Half marathon runners will be able to have a drop bag at the start line. You will be able to carry it with you on the shuttle bus, and then it will be transported back to the start line. You can pick it up from a designated location at McPhelemy Park. Make sure it's in a BAG, and these should be unique and clearly marked with your name. Anything not picked up by 4 pm will be donated to local thrift stores.
Spectators should park at the Cottonwood Lake parking lot. The views along the lake will be amazing!
