Event Description
5K:
Join us for a family-friendly event to raise funds for a new park on the west side of Buena Vista! This park is named to honor Billy Cordova, a man who left an impact with everyone he met. Billy was a husband, father, and son before anything else - he loved spending time with his family! Beyond that, he served on many roles as a Battalion Chief with Chaffee County Fire Department, a reserve deputy with Chaffee County Sherriff's Department, a volunteer enforcement officer with the Division of Wildlife, and he was a volunteer with Chaffee County Search & Rescue. What's more, Billy loved big equipment and owned Marv's Construction Company.
We hope that the Billy Cordova Memorial Park not only honors his legacy, but we hope it also honors our First Responders. The month of May is First Responders Month, and we would love for you to join us as we raise funds to build this neighborhood park! Our 5K will start and finish at BV Rodeo Grounds, and the course will travel to, and through, the location for the park. Runners will wind through the Sunset Vista neighborhood, back to the BV Rodeo Grounds for a grand finish! This run is stroller friendly! There may be a few bumpy sections on trail, but overall it's very smooth. We welcome all runners, walkers, joggers, and everything in between!
Family Fun Run:
Our families are welcome to run and walk the Family Fun Run (1.5 miles) which will take place before the 5K. It will also start and finish at the BV Rodeo Grounds. We encourage families to join together, bring strollers, wagons, and backpacks to ensure that our young runners make the whole course!
Online registration will STAY OPEN to race day!

- Dogs are NOT allowed on any race course due to our race insurance. You can bring your furry friends to the Start/Finish Line, but please keep them controlled, at least 20 feet away from the Start/Finish Line, and on a leash at all times.

Getting Here
From Johnson Village, CO, head north on Hwy 24 for about 1 mile. Take a left onto Gregg Drive and follow that to the stop sign. Continue straight onto Gregg Drive and follow signs for parking.
From Leadville, CO, head south on Hwy 24 for about 40 miles until the red light at Hwy 24 and Main Street. Take a right onto West Main Street and travel west. Take a left onto Rodeo Road and travel south. Take a right onto Gregg Drive and follow signs for parking.
BV Rodeo Grounds will be located on the corner of Gregg Drive and Rodeo Road. Please follow signs for parking.

Races always need volunteers, and we are always looking!
Do you enjoy cheering on others? Are you a pro at putting water coolers on tables? Can you slice fruit like a champ? How's your organization game? Do you have other skills that you can share with us?
All volunteers will receive unique One Love Endurance Events swag (ONLY for volunteers!) as a Thank You for your time and energy. If you've never volunteered, join us! It's so fun!
Volunteer Program - Volunteers that log 3 hours of time at a combo of any of our events will qualify for a free entry for a 5K. This includes any hours that were logged from January 2022 to present day.
VOLUNTEER WITH US
